EXPLORE JUNIOR TEAM TENNIS
Petersburg Tennis Academy in Martinez, GA, offers a competitive Junior Team Tennis (JTT) program for boys and girls of all skill levels.
ABOUT
JTT is a team-based league featuring weekly matches between junior teams, including singles, doubles, and mixed play. Local league play can qualify players for the USTA Georgia Junior Team Tennis State Championships and the USTA Southern Sectional Championships.
SCHEDULE
The local JTT summer season runs from May 15 to June 26, with makeup matches completed by June 30.
Matches take place on Sundays at 2 PM.
AGE DIVISIONS
8U, 10U, 12U, 14U, 16U, 18U
Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced levels for each division.
COST
A league fee of $20 per player per team applies, similar to adult USTA league fees and more affordable than most USTA events.
USTA memberships remain free for junior players.
JTT AND PTA PROGRAMS
The local JTT track is best suited for players in the Play and Play Plus programs, providing valuable match experience and skill growth.
Performance and tournament players aiming for college-level competition should consider the National Championship JTT track.
PARENT INVOLVEMENT
Parents are encouraged to volunteer as Coach/Captain for their child's team. Eligible parents must complete a USTA SafePlay background screening (free) and hold a USTA membership (non-player memberships are free).
